By Zaldy Comanda CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Nine police personnel were awarded with the PNP medalya ng Kagalingan while two others were awarded with the medalya ng Papuri for their commensurate accomplishments during the distinguished visitors program this Monday morning here. The Medalya ng Kagalingan was awarded to PCINSP Pablo Emmanuel Nead, SPO1 Robert Agdaca, and PO1 Rogdan Tabdi, all from the Baguio City Police Office for the successful arrest of Booyan Cangiti, listed as the No. 4 TMWPP Station level for the crime of Frustrated and Attempted Homicide. PCINSP Marlo Evasco, PO3 Patrick Lamog, and PO2 Marlon Verbo, all from BCPO were awarded with medalya ng Kagalingan for the successful arrest of Renato Esguerdo Busoy Jr, listed as the No. 5 TMWPP of the Baguio City Police Office for violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002. The Medalya ng Papuri was likewise awarded to SPO4 Allan Sumalde and SPO3 Jonathan Pocya, both of the Regional Intelligence Division, for the successful arrest of Reynaldo Tan Chavez A.K.A. “Burdado” for violation of the comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 during a buy-bust operation. In line with the PNP’s welfare benefits program, pursuant to the provisions of R.A No. 4864, known as the Police Act of 1966 or the “Act granting special Financial Assistance and Benefits to the family of any police or military personnel or fireman killed or permanently incapacitated while in the performance of his duty or by reason of this office or position and for other purposes”,  SPO3 Depayso Tomas Mondero and SPO3 Timothy Simsim, both retired from the PNP service due to Total Permanent Physical Disability (TTPD) as a result of service connected activities. They also received their gratuity checks during the program.
