RCBC’s Telemoney Group recently concluded another KAPihan session, an annual event that helps keep the bank’s shipping clients aware of OFW-related issues and changing market conditions. The bank’s clients were privy to talks on the different benefits awarded to seafarers and their dependents from keynote speakers from the Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA) such as Teresa B. Capa, Chief of Program Service Division, and Melanie Delos Santos, Head of In-House PDOS. Another speaker was Raul Ruiz, Head of Research at RCBC Securities, who gave an in-depth lecture on how the Philippine economy, the stock market, and FX rates, affected the business of shipping companies. The event, held at Balesin Islander Restaurant at the City Club in Alphaland, Makati, was one of the bank’s many efforts to keep its Telemoney clients well-informed about current events as well as the various products and services that RCBC can offer its clients and their families. One such service also presented during the annual KAPihan is a payroll system offered to various shipping companies, the Maritime Allotment Payroll System (MAPS). The service is specifically designed for shipping and manning companies that deploy their employees abroad, it can instantly generate reports for employees regarding their PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and SSS contributions as well as print payslips for both the seafarer and their beneficiaries.
