Palace bares new Duterte appointees

Armed Forces of the Philippines's (AFP's) 7th Infantry Division commander Maj. Gen. Angelito de Leon was named Assistant Secretary at the Department of National Defense, replacing Raymund Jose Quilop. Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region III Director Antonio Molano Jr. was named as new assistant secretary at the agency, replacing Roberto Bernardo. Former DPWH-Quezon City District Engineer Roseller Tolentino was named as Director IV at the agency. Duterte also named Ronaldo Cruz as a member of the board of trustees of the Philippine Institute of Traditional and Alternative Health Care, replacing Warren David Sarmiento. He will represent the biomedical/allopathic/western medical practitioners' sector and will serve a three-year term. The President also named Desiderio Jurado III as Provincial Trade and Industry Officer at the Department of Trade and Industry, replacing Ruel Gonzales. He also appointed Reynaldo Anfone as Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II at the Department of Agrarian Reform, replacing Paysal Tumog. Duterte named Voltaire Mauricio as career minister at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) The documents of the said appointees were signed by President Duterte on June 21, 2018. Meanwhile, named on June 7 Neil Frank Ferrer and Enrico Fos as ad interim Chief of Mission, Class II at the Department of Foreign Affairs. On May 3, Duterte also approved the promotion of police superintendents Ronald Joseph Ocaya, Bernardo Perez, Edison Lopez, Marvin Mangune, Jess Mendez, Arvin Molina, Tom Tuzon, and Michael David to the rank of Police Senior Superintendent. The President also approved the promotion of police senior superintendents Ferdinand Daway and Flaviano Garcia Jr. to the rank of Police Chief Superintendent.
