DAVAO CITY – The new bishop of the Diocese of Tagum was ordained this week, with Reverend Medil Sacay Aseo being installed to take care of Tagum's faithful.

(Diocese of Tagum / MANILA BULLETIN) Aseo was installed earlier this week at the Christ the King Cathedral for his Episcopal Ordination and Installation. Aseo was ordained by Davao City Archbishop Romulo G. Valles as principal ordaining bishop with Tagum City Bishop Emeritus Wilfredo Manlapaz and Greensburg Bishop Edward Malesic as co-ordaining bishops. Manlapaz nominated Aseo to lead the diocese of Tagum after bowing out of 39 years of service. Present in the canonical celebration were Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, Davao del Norte Governor Anthony del Rosario, Tagum City Mayor Allan L. Rellon, and the members of the Tagum City council of Tagum. The new bishop is a native of Maniki, Kapalong, Davao del Norte.
