They recall feeling nervous during their special performance at Malacañang Palace recently. They were invited to sing before President Rodrigo Duterte and Prime Minister Peter O’ Neill of Papua New Guinea. The boys sang “Ben” and “Listen.”
“Kinakabahan po talaga kami kasi nandoon si President (Duterte) nasa harap namin (We were so nervous knowing that the President is watching us),” Kiefer said in a recent interview on "Magandang Buhay."
“Super kaba po talaga ’yon (We were super nervous),” Francis added.
“Pero maganda po ’yung performance namin, nagustuhan naman po niya (But we did perform well, he (President Duterte) liked it,” Mackie mulled.
Aside from their recent visit to the Malacañang, the TNT boys had been inAmerica to perform on “Little Big Shots.” Show host Steve Harvey and the audience were impressed with the trio's version of “Listen" by Beyonce.
Kiefer shared they will never forget what Steve told them, "Ia-adopt niya raw po kami." He added that the American host told them he will build a room and pool for them and he wants them to treat him as their new uncle.
American comedian and television host Ellen DeGeneres was also amazed by the trio’s performance and tweeted Beyoncé, “Beyoncé, I hope you watch Sunday’s episode of #LittleBigShots,” she wrote.
TNT Boys is one of the contestants of the on-going TV show “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids 2018.” One of their performances includes their impersonation of the famous pop group during the late 60’s Bee Gees.
After their performance on “YFSFK” the official twitter account of Bee Gees reacted, “Imitation truly is the sincerest form of flattery! Thank you TNTBoys, YourFacePH for your rendition of ‘Too Much Heaven.’”
TNT Boys were previous finalists from “It’s Showtime’s” “Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids” singing competition.
