Two high-ranking officers have been installed by Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Oscar Albayalde to co-lead the Metro Manila police as part of the organization's continuing reshuffle.

Chief Superintendent Gregorio Lim was reassigned as the acting district director of the Northern Police District (NPD), replacing Chief Supt. Amando Empiso, while Chief Supt. Alfred Corpus took over the Eastern Police District (EPD) replacing Chief Supt. Reynaldo Biay.
According to Albayalde, the movements were part of his agenda to re-organize the PNP and "keep the right people in the right positions."
Empiso was transferred to Lim's former assignment as deputy regional director for operations at the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) while Biay was re-assigned at Corpus' former position as deputy director for the Directorate for Intelligence (DI).
The latest movement in the PNP organization came weeks after the massive reshuffle ordered by Albayalde on June 1 which included the change of commanders in the NCRPO -- a post he used to serve prior to being the country's top cop.
During the said reshuffle, Albayalde designated Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar as the NCRPO chief, replacing Chief Supt. Camilo Pancratius Cascolan who was named director of the Civil Security Group.
Since then, Eleazar has hinted of possible reshuffle in the Metro Manila police force, while noting that among the factors that would be looked into are the commanders' achievements in the campaign against illegal drugs, internal cleansing, and the solving of shooting incidents perpetrated by motorcycle-riding suspects.
Lim and Corpus are both mistahs or classmates of Eleazar at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Hinirang Class of 1987.
Lim, being the NPD director, has jurisdiction over the city police of Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela.
Meanwhile, Empiso, being the EPD director, has jurisdictions over the city police of Pasig, San Juan, Mandaluyong, and Marikina.
