Bong Go not keen on Senate seat

By Argyll Cyrus B. Geducos President Duterte's most trusted right-hand man reiterated that he has no intention to seek a Senate seat in the 2019 midterm elections. Special Assistant to the President Christopher ‘Bong’ Go made the statement even after TV personality Kris Aquino said she will support him if he decides to run for Senate.

Christopher ‘Bong’ Go Go, in a Facebook post, said that people do not have to worry as he will remain loyal to the President and will not eye a Senate seat. "Ginagawa ko lang ang trabaho ko. Kapag inutos ng Pangulo, I will deliver. Wag po kayong mag-alala, wala akong pangarap mag senador (I am just doing my job. If the President has an order, I will deliver. Don't worry, I am not aspiring to be a senator)," Go said. "My loyalty is with the President and the Filipino Nation... Kayo, kanino ang loyalty ninyo (How about you)?" he added. Go’s supporters are urging him to run for Senator next year, even starting a campaign dubbed "Ready, Set, Go!" to try to convince the Palace official. Go earlier denied that he is running for senator but said he will wait for the advice of the President. Duterte said he is leaving the decision to Go. Go also shared that Kris Aquino expressed to support him if he decides to run for Senate. Go thanked Aquino but said that he has no plans to be a senator.
