The three wounded victims were identified as Palmie Susa, 36, Ryan Briones, 16 and Joshua Rubang, 10, all residents of the same place, currently confined in the hospital for their treatment.
Vallente said the cop involved to the shooting incident was identified as PO2 Jun Christoper Briones, a member of the PNP Special Action Force (SAF) and a resident of the same place, is now subject to massive manhunt operation after he escaped after the incident.
Initial investigation disclosed the shooting incident happened at about 11:55 PM. Prior to the incident, the victims identified as Palmie Susa and Florante Tabuso and other companions were having a drinking session in a wedding party when PO2 Jun Christopher Briones arrived.
Briones offered reportedly offered to shake the hand of Tabuso but the latter ignored the offer. Instead, he searched the waist of the cop. Then, Susa also went at Briones’ back and clasped him.
A struggle ensued wherein Briones drew a gun from his waist but Tabuso held it.
During the grappling, the gun began to fire hitting the five victims in the different parts of their bodies, causing Tabuso to die on the spot while Agcamaran died while undergoing medical treatment in the hospital.
The responding police officer recovered seven empty shells for Caliber .45 pistol from the crime scene.
Vallente said that follow-up probe to the incident is going on.
He theorized the motive of the incident is old-grudge.
