3 saved from capsized boat off Biliran

By Betheena Kae Unite Three men were rescued from a pumpboat that capsized off Naval, Biliran, Wednesday, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported. Rain Bautista, 26, Reynaldo Ramonida, 69, and the boat captain William Guinto, 33, were rescued when the boat sank about 30 meters from the shore of Barangay Smo. Rosario, Naval. All three are residents of Barangay Caneja, Calubian Leyte, the Coast Guard said. The boat was sailing from Caneja to Smo. Rosario when it was flipped over by big waves. A team from the Coast Guard’s substation in Naval launched the rescue. The boat was towed to shore.
