The Philippines emerged fifth in the top 20 countries where the music video is most popular.
According to YouTube, Vietnam topped the the list where “Fake Love” MV is most watched from May 18 to 29, followed by the US, South Korea, Indonesia and the Philippines. Placing sixth to 10th are Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Thailand and Taiwan.
Malaysia is 11th followed by Turkey, Peru, Argentina, India, United Kingdom, Russia, Germany, Chile and France.
The “Fake Love” music video was uploaded on May 18 and as of June 4, it has accumulated 132 million views on YouTube.
On Billboard, BTS’ “Love Yourself: Tear” album placed second on Billboard 200 in the second week for the period ending June 9 after debuting at No. 1 on the chart. It earned 135,000 equivalent album units in the first week and 46,000 in the second.
It was an amazing week for BTS on Billboard. “Fake Love” debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, a first for a K-pop group, and emerged on top on the Digital Song Sales chart and debuted at No. 7 on the Streaming Songs chart.
BTS also garnered the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Artist 100 chart, a first for a K-pop act.
The idol group also garnered the top spot on Billboard’s Social 50, their 76th time to hit No. 1 on the chart. According to Billboard, the chart “ranks the most popular artists on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Wikipedia and Tumblr.”
BTS released an extended version of “Fake Love” music video on YouTube on June 1, which has amassed 9 million views to date.
In Korea, BTS won their eight TV music show trophy for “Fake Love.”
