Actor Piolo Pascual has been prioritizing his health even more after getting into an accident some years ago.

This is the reason he has no qualms in endorsing health products he believes in, which now includes My Daily Collagen.
He used to take whey protein but he stopped as “nagbe-breakout ako."
“I take collagen, it’s better. With whey protein ang dami mo pang iinumin, imi-mix mo pa siya, ibe-blender mo pa."
Wait, let's backtrack there a bit. Perfect-looking Piolo with pimples?!
“Oo naman. I still have breakouts once in a while, siguro kapag madumi (’yung face ko) or walang tulog dahil sa stress,” he said.
When did he realize that he’s handsome, someone asked.
“Growing up I never thought that I could be an artista. Nu’ng nag-aartista na siguro ako, concerned na ako about my appearance sa harap ng camera. Siyempre, kapag lumalaki ka, awkward stage din. Basta feeling ko pogi ako okay na ’yun. But there are days na feeling ko ang pangit ko. I try to stay away from the sun and get a lot of sleep. Otherwise, wala, eh. I just have to deal with it,” he said.
His skin care regimen includes washing his face day and night with soap.
“I use La Mer (a luxury skin care for men) kasi nagkaroon ako ng injury before. It rejuvenates. It repairs the cells once in a while.”
That said, his advice to his son Iñigo is the same.
“Wash your face every night especially kapag naka-make up ka. Stay away from those products na tumutulo sa mukha mo, ‘yung mga gel. Rehydrate a lot, drink a lot of water.”
Asked how fit he is in a scale of 1 to 10, he felt “I’m at 7 because I was sidelined dahil sa injury ko sa kamay dahil sa badminton.
“Since last year, direk Joyce (Bernal) asked me to stop working out so I stopped lifting weights. I lost a lot of weight because of that. I do a lot of training, I do a lot of running, bike, swim and badminton. Nawala lang ‘yung workout, nawala ‘yung training but I’m getting back to it. I’m fit, personally, physically pero I’d like to be more fit like before. I hope to have more time to train for that.”
Piolo runs, walks and plays badminton for two hours everyday.
As actor, Piolo, more often than not, is seen as a sex object. But he doesn’t mind as he feels it “comes with the territory”.
“Wala naman akong magagawa doon. Okay lang ‘yun. I guess it comes with the territory. I know fo a fact that in this business you’re bound to be objectified. It comes with the territory, it comes with the job,” he said.
Although he’s gifted with a handsome face, he also has had his share of rejections when he was growing up.
“Oo naman noong high school ako. Hindi naman porke pogi ka ay sasagutin ka (ng babae). Siyempre posibleng may iba ring preference ang nililigawan mo.”
At 41, the hunk actor is not bothered by his age.
“It is really important because you’re as old as you think you are. For me, actually, noong nag-forty ako akala ko tatanda na ako. Even my vision hasn’t changed, I’m still 20/20. I seriously feel…feeling ko 28 pa lang ako. I don’t know. Just indulge me. I am able to enjoy myself better now that I’m older. I don’t feel old as my age dictates. Ang sa akin nasa tao ‘yan, eh, how you wanna be perceived. For me, as long as my bones are intact, my joints are intact and I am able to do the things that I enjoy doing, age is nothing.”
