Mariah Carey amazed at 2 Filipinos who sang their rendition of 'Hero'

Mariah Carey had nothing but praise for two Filipinos who did a cover of her song "Hero" on YouTube. The diva did an episode of Glamour Magazine's "You Sang My Song," where guest artists watch people's covers of their songs.

(YouTube / MANILA BULLETIN) The last she watched was the video of Filipino cousins, Aldrich Lloyd Talonding and James Walter Bucong, singing their own rendition of the songstess' hit, "Hero." "Aldrich and James, I loved their rendition, amazing!" Carey said of the February 2014 video of the cousins. The singer even commended Aldrich for the riff he did in one part of the song. "I'll be using that," she said. Carey said she felt nice knowing that "Hero," a song she wrote, was being sang by "such a wide range of people," by "different ages, different places in the world." "It's interesting because when I first wrote ‘Hero’ I wasn’t even writing it for myself," she stated. "Aldrich and James first rose to fame in 2013 when their cover of Luther Vandross' 'Dance With My Father' went viral.” September of the same year, the two was invited to perform at the Ellen De Generes show.
