Many of us are fascinated – really fascinated by amazing stories that have been told and retold from generation to generation about good angels. One question that continues to baffle many of us is whether or not angels age like human beings. From Biblical accounts (the Holy Bible mentions angels no less than 294 times), we know that angels are created by our Lord God. They are never born; they never grow up; and they never die. Since they do not grow up, angels do not outgrow their clothes. They do not need to eat or to drink or to take vitamin supplements for growth and health. Yes, angels do not grow old and age. They are special beings. They do not have material bodies that decay. In short, angels are immortal.

Let me list other popular topics about angels in Q and A format for easier reading:-
Q: Do angels get tired?
A: Unlike human beings, angels never get tired. Not even a little bit. They do not get sick, too. Nor do they get weak. They also do not sleep like us. The good angels of God are strong and always ready to do what God tells them to do. Whether as messengers or warriors or whatever designation or role God assigns to them, God equips them to enable them to do their tasks. From the Biblical accounts, we see that angels can open locked doors, roll away huge stones, and even wipe out whole armies. (Read Matthew 28:2-4)

Q: Do angels have gender distinction like human beings?
A: Since angels don’t have physical bodies, then they are neither male or female. It is interesting to note, though, that the angels Michael and Gabriel have male names. Also, the three angels who visited Abraham in the Book of Genesis were described as three men.

Q: Does each person have an angel watching over him?
A: The Holy Bible narrates incidents where angels help people. But there is nothing in the Holy Bible that says that one angel watched over one person as a bodyguard. We have no idea how God divides the assignments of the thousands and thousands of angels. Although we usually hear people say that their “guardian angels” are protecting them all the time.

Q: Should we worship angels?
A: In Colossians 2:18 we are told not to worship the angels. Acts of worship should only be directed to God. The glory belongs to God. Even angels worship God. It is recorded in the Book of Revelation that on two occasions John fell at the feet of an angel and twice he was rebuked not to worship the angel but God only.

Q: Can you describe the most-talked about mysterious warfaring angels of God?
A: There is one group of angels that has captured immensely the fascination and staggers the imagination of many of us, including myself. I am referring to the mysterious warfaring angels of God. Warfaring angels of God are huge, powerful dazzling, mighty, masculine angels. Warfaring angels of God wage actual physical warfare not only against the enemies of God, the antichrist and his fallen angels but also guards and protects God’s people, especially those who call upon the name of Jesus. My basis of saying this? The numerous verses in the Holy Bible.
Proof of the supernatural strength of the warfaring angels of God is the killing of 185,000 Assyrian soldiers by one – yes, just one angel of the Lord God killed the 185,000 Assyrian soldiers! This incident was recorded in 2 Kings 19:35.

Q: Can you tell more about the warfaring angels of God?
A: In the book titled “My Time in Heaven” by Richard Sigmund, the author wrote his own testimony of his near-death experience going to heaven and coming back to earth. Richard Sigmund was killed in a car accident and was proclaimed dead for eight hours. He was taken to heaven and wrote in his book a panoramic view of heaven. This is his description of God’s warfaring angels:
“These were fearsome angels dressed in battle garb. They didn’t have helmets, but they had huge shields, flaming swords, and spears that were about thirty feet long. They must have stood twenty feet tall and weighed the better part of a ton, according to earthly measurement. They were huge, muscular angels. They looked like a Mr. America – but considerably larger!
“They had supernatural weapons that I do not know how to explain. I knew that some of them could speak words and cause whole nations to crumble and fall into the sea. They were armed, some with words, some with swords, some with spears that had special purposes, and all with the power of God.”
