CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan -- The improvement and total rehabilitation of the Bulacan provincial capitol building, which houses the offices of the governor, vice governor, and its provincial administrative offices is nearing its completion.
In an exclusive interview with this writer, Engineer Glenn Reyes, head of the provincial engineering office and Engineer Roland I. Nolasco said the renovation would be completed ahead of time.

They said, the construction of the design and build scheme for the rehabilitation that was started by the ISO-certified contractor Nationstar Development Corporation in August last year, is now almost 97 percent completed.
Reyes and Nolasco said that the duration of the contract for the complete renovation and the improved facilities of the capitol building is 360 calendar days, including the Bulacan Garden Park that has been undertaken.
The complete renovation of the capitol building, capitol garden park, and children's mini- forest will be the first of its kind since the erection of the Bulacan Provincial Capitol Building, 88 years ago.
Reyes said that the largest mural in the Philippines, entitled "Kasaysayan ng Bulacan" which was in the lobby of the Gat. Blas F. Ople building was transferred and will greet visitors as they step into the 2nd floor lobby of the newly renovated Capitol building.
The huge artwork captures the full essence of the colorful history of the province and the country as well.
Related to this, the Bulakenyos thanked Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado and Vice Governor Daniel R. Fernando as well as the Nationstar Development Corporation for the fast work being undertaken by the contractor.
"Ilang araw na lamang ay makikita na namin ang mas maaliwalas na kapaligiran at ng makasaysayang gusali ng Kapitolyo na tila muling ipanganganak mula noong ito ay itinayo taong 1930," a group of senior citizens said.
