Florida-based business process outsourcing (BPO) company iQor has expanded its operations in the Philippines through its new facility located in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
With a company tagline of “Work Closer to Home,” iQor Philippines takes its niche of building BPO offices outside the business-congested areas of Metro Manila. Currently, the company has 10 other sites in the country located in areas of Pampanga, Cavite, Davao, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental.
The Sta. Rosa branch, slated to bring 2,000 new jobs, is located at the PEZA zone beside SM Sta. Rosa. The new facility is hosted within 4 floors, with the usual office rooms, plus dedicated spaces for sleeping rooms, game room, clinic, and gym.
The said iQor branch started hiring agents June of this year and is expected to go fully-operational on August. With this, iQor employees in the country are expected to reach 20,000 by the end of the year.
According to iQor COO Gary Praznik, the Philippines’ investments in infrastructure, education, and transportation make it an ideal hub for the company’s customer care services.
“The Philippines remains as one of the fastest growing regions for our customer care services. As the complexity of customer interactions increase, we continue to find digitally savvy talent that can work across a variety of different channels, whether that is voice, social media, chat or email,” Praznik said.
“Santa Rosa is perfectly positioned outside the NCR to allow our employees to work closer to their home and their families. At the same time, the proximity to Metro Manila gives us access to a large pool of digitally native talent that we wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else,” iQor Philippines Senior Vice President Saurabh Bhaskar said.
