Major General Job Yucoco, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, J4, retired from military service on Wednesday after faithfully serving the AFP and country for 38 years.

He relinquished his post to the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics Brig. Gen. Joselito Ramos who assumed in an acting capacity during a Change of Chief of Office with Retirement Ceremony presided by AFP Vice Chief of Staff Lt. Gen Salvador Melchor Mison Jr., held at the Tejeros Hall of the AFP Commissioned Officers Club here.
During his almost three years tenure as AFP Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, J4, Yucoco was mainly instrumental in assisting the Chief of Staff of the AFP in formulating plans and policies on all matters pertaining to logistics, including the Self-Reliant Defense Posture Program.
Meanwhile, Ramos takes off as a successful Air Force officer. Prior to the posts he held at OJ4, Ramos was the Wing Commander of the 410TH Maintenance Wing, Philippine Air Force and was the Deputy Wing Commander of the Special Operations Wing.
He was born in Manila and was an engineering student at the University of the Philippines-Diliman before he eventually pursued a military career by entering the PMA where he graduated in 1988.
Ramos finished his Master’s Degree in Management Technology at De La Salle Lipa in 1998, obtained a Master of Science Degree in Information Technology at the University of New South Wales, Australia in 2002, and a Master in Defense Studies from the National University of Malaysia in 2010.
He also assumed significant staff positions such as Chief of the Air Force Resource Management Office; and as Commanding Officer of PAF Personnel Management Center; Tactical Operations Group 9 in Jolo, Sulu; and the Air Power Institute.
