While she is the country’s second highest official, Leni Robredo is still a proud mother amid the dirty world of politics. And she will always keep it at that.

In another “proud mom” moment, Robredo shared on Facebook last night that her youngest daughter, Jillian, has been accepted to New York University for college.
“Super late post since Jillian received this almost a month ago. But good news is always good news no matter how late. Just one more day left to decide,” the Vice President wrote.
Robredo posted the photo of the admission letter from NYU. Jillian got accepted in the BioMolecular Science program under the Tandon School of Engineering.
Robredo however said they have yet to decide whether Jillian would pursue her admission to the university given the May 1 deadline.
"She has not confirmed until now because she is still awaiting word on her scholarship applications. As of now, her scholarship is still partial and she has decided that she will only go if she gets full scholarship,” she said.
Jillian, a graduate of Philippine Science High School, has been also accepted into Ateneo De Manila, University of the Philippines, and De La Salle-- the country’s top three universities.
Robredo’s youngest daughter has been accepted into Ateneo’s Applied Mathematics with Specialization in Mathematical Finance undergraduate program.
In De La Salle, Jillian got into the university’s Manufacturing Engineering and Management with Specialization in Biomedical Engineering program while she also passed the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) for BS Mathematics.
Among the three universities, the Vice President shared in an earlier Facebook post her daughter’s top choice for college is Ateneo.
The Vice President is the widow of longtime Naga Mayor and Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo who died in a plane crash in August, 2012. They have three children-Aika, Tricia, and Jillian.
Aika is a graduate student of Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge, Massachusetts while Tricia is studying medicine at the Ateneo School of Medicine.
It was Aika, Tricia, and Jillian who served as chief campaigners for their mother in sorties and rallies around the country in the vice presidential elections in May, 2016.
