Antipolo City, Rizal — All roads lead to this city, known as the “Pilgrimage Capital of the Country” as the annual Maytime Festival kicks off today in time for the summertime pilgrimage season here.

Devotees will join a noon motorcade Sunday, April 29, from the National Shrine of the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage to the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo, Manila for the traditional “Pagdalaw ng Birhen ng Antipolo Sa Poong Nazareno” (Visit of the Virgin of Antipolo to the Black Nazarene).

The pilgrim image of the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, will lead the motorcade from the cathedral to Quiapo Church.

Meanwhile, Mayor Casimiro “Junjun” Ynares, III reminded pilgrims to observe proper conduct during the Walk For Peace slated on April 30 that will bring back the image from Quiapo to Antipolo as the event is a solemn activity.
