2 motorists injured in Sunday night collision in Baliuag

By Freddie Velez BALIUAG, Bulacan — A motorcycle and a tricycle traveling opposite directions collided head-on in Barangay Sta. Barbara, here, Sunday night, injuring both drivers, police said. (Freddie Velez / MANILA BULLETIN) Seriously injured was motorcycle driver “Lando,” of Barangay Tambubong, San Rafael, who was thrown off his vehicle and taken to the hospital bloodied and unconscious. Tricycle driver Leonil Aquino, of Barangay Makinabang, here, was wounded in the knee and also taken to the hospital through the help of village councilman, Wendell Centeno, who called in the paramedics. Investigation showed that the tricycle, marked “For Registration,” was overtaking a white Honda Jazz along the northbound lane when the accident happened. The tricycle veered to the opposite lane and run smack into the oncoming motorcycle with license plate 3132-RF, police said.
