Body in a garbage bag A body of a man with his face wrapped with a garbage bag was found at the Service Road of C-5 Heritage in Barangay Pinagsama Taguig City past midnight today. The man who was between 25-30 years old, was clad in a red shirt and short pants. An ice pick was found tucked on the waist of the victim. The unidentified man believed to be a victim of summary execution bore stab wounds to the chest and other parts of the body according to the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) of the Southern Police District (SPD). According to Felipe Baldoza Jr., Security Force member of the village, the body was found at around 12:30 in the morning along Service Road of C-5 Heritage. Patrolling village watchmen in the area spotted a black garbage bag with blood flowing from it. Upon inspection, they stumbled upon body of the man with his face wrapped. Authorities believe that the victim was killed before he was dumped in the area. Residents have no clue on the victim's identity. (Dhel Nazario) 4 Drug personalities fall Two alleged drug peddlers included in the drug watchlist, along with two other drug personalities, were arrested in a buy-bust operation Sunday in Tondo, Manila. Police reports identified the suspects as Dan Paolo Santos, 27, of 2712 Sunog Apog St., Brgy. 179 Tondo, Manila and Jessica Halos, 30, of the same address who are both included in Raxabago-Tondo Police Station’s (PS-1) drug watch-list. The two other suspects, including a teenager, were identified as Marvin delos Santos, 30, of 266 Cristobal St., Brgy. 123, Tondo, Manila and Michael Acudesi, 19, of 203 Laurel St., Brgy. 120, Tondo, Manila. Prior to their arrest, elements of the Station Drug Enforcement Team conducted an Anti-Illegal Drugs buy-bust operation on April 15 at around 11:35 p.m. along Sunog Apog St. corner Pampanga St., Tondo, Manila to apprehend the suspects. (Hans Amancio) 7 men in international syndicate Around P22 million worth of shabu and marijuana were seized from seven alleged members of an international drug syndicate supplying in the northern Metro Manila during a sting in Caloocan City Sunday morning. Joint operatives from the Northern Police District's Drug Enforcement Unit and Special Operations Unit arrested are alleged leader Lemar Garzon, 25, of Caloocan City; Aries Taglada, 27, of Caloocan City; Richard Romoquillo, 22, of Navotas City; Jayson Estrada, 22, of Cavite City; Renz Geron, 23, of Navotas City; Edward Cruz, 32, of Malabon City; and Eduardo Tan, 32, of Navotas City. All are jobless. NPD-SOU chief Sr. Inspector Robert Bunayog said the eight suspects were alleged members of the Sinoloan Mexican drug cartel. "Their transactions are being done through electronic. They order items from America and used bitcoins for payment," Bunayog explained in an interview. The team first conducted a buy-bust operation against Tan in Barangay 12 around 3:30 a.m. However, Tan insisted to go to their alleged drug den in Barangay Pagala in Baliuwag, Bulacan as the poseur-buyer ordered at least one kilo of shabu. After the poseur-buyer handed over the buy-bust money worth P500,000, the team swooped down inside the alleged drug den around 7 a.m. Police seized seven packs of suspected shabu weighing eight kilograms worth P20 million, two kilos of dried marijuana worth P2 million, a M-16 rifle, a sub-machine gun, two caliber. 45 pistol, a caliber .9mm, assorted ammunition, and drug paraphernalia. The suspects admitted their alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade, Bunayog said. Meanwhile, Tan and Estrada, who worked as the group's hitmen, have previous warrants of arrest for murder and homicide cases respectively, Bunayog added. "When their clients don't remit the right amount of money, they will kill them," Bunayog said. Appropriate charges will be filed against the eight men who are now detained at the NPD detention cell. Following a successful drug purchase, authorities arrested the suspects and recovered six pieces of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P3,000. The drug evidence were then brought to the Manila Police District PS-1 for further investigation and safe-keeping while the suspects, currently detained at the PS-1, will face charges for violation of R.A. 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
