Lee Min Ho completes training, Kim Bum to enlist

Hallyu actor Lee Min Ho has finished his basic military training.

Lee Min Ho and Kim Bum (Instagram) The 30-year-old star of dramas such as “Boys over Flowers,” “The Heirs” and “Legend Of Blue Sea” started working as a public service worker in May last year, an alternative form of military service. Last March 15, he entered the Korea Army Training Center in Nonsan for his four weeks of basic military training. He completed it on April 12 and returned to work as a public service worker Friday at the Suseo Social Welfare Center, which is run by the Gangnam District Office. Lee Min Ho got an exemption from being an active duty soldier due to injuries he suffered in car accidents in 2006 and 2011. Meanwhile, Kim Bum, Lee Min Ho’s co-star in “Boys over Flowers,” will also fulfill his military service as a public service worker. Kim Bum will enlist on April 26 and according to his agency, he got an exemption from active duty due to a genetic disease for which he has been getting treatment since in his early 20s. A few years ago, it was reported that he suffered from degenerative arthritis due to dieting which he did for a drama role. In 2009, he was injured in a car accident. Kim Bum will serve for two years just like Lee Min Ho, who will be discharged in May 2019.
