SM Supermalls celebrates outstanding women with #WorldOfWomenAtSM

SM Supermalls celebrated the end of Women’s Month with a grand production at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall last March 22, with the gathering of 31 beautiful women in the #WorldofWomenAtSM and whose portraits were featured in the exhibit.
As SM gave “What Women Want” deals at the SM Woman Pop-up store, Frenchie Dy, and Rhada entertained the guests with a medley of popular songs.
On top of that, the guests were entertained by an augmented reality experience that brought life to Megan Young’s message on true beauty.
In collaboration with renowned photographer Niccolo Cosme of Project Headshot Clinic, SM celebrated women who have made a difference in the lives of Filipinos through their chosen advocacies. These women achievers received a portrait taken by Niccolo that were also showcased in the exhibit.
“My mission as a photographer is basically to share the stories behind the subjects,” said Niccolo Cosme.
Five women were hailed the winners of SM’s Women’s Month digital promo. Their portraits were also part of the exhibit.
They are: Maria Corazon Lacambacal, full-time mother and cancer survivor; Mica Flor Catanghal, community pharmacist; Stephanie Justine Espallardo, medical doctor; April Joyce Zaide, engineer; and Carla Cabral, social media strategist.
Maria Corazon Lacambacal believes that the women of today are more confident.
Mica Flor Catanghal thinks that the women of today are stronger.
Stephanie Justine Espallardo believes that one should know her limits, but should strive to go beyond expectations.
April Joyce Zaide pursued her dreams to be an engineer – and was recognized with a promotion –despite the common belief that only men can do well in the field of Engineering.
Carla Cabral believes that today’s women are not afraid to stand up for what is true and are not afraid to break away from the norm.
The winners of #WorldOfWomenAtSM digital activation brought home P10,000 worth of gift certificates and a special Mega beauty bag.
Women stand out no matter what the circumstances. They deserve to be commended not only during women’s month but every single day of the month –that’s why SM Supermall will continue giving what women want!
