A sport-utility vehicle worth P500,000 shipped from Korea to the Port of Davao was seized by the Bureau of Custom (BOC).

Upon inspection a used Hyundai Terracan was discovered in a shipment which was only declared as used dump truck and tractor head, Commissioner Isidro Lapeña revealed on Thursday.
Investigation showed that the shipment was consigned to 429 Entreprises with office address at Purok 5 Km 24 Bunawan, Davao City. It arrived at the Port of Davao on March 10. A certain Juvy Buctuanon was identified as the customs broker who processed the importation of the shipment.
According to the BOC-Davao, the shipment passed through the red lane and was immediately examined by customs agents on March 12.
The agents discovered that aside from 295 packages of used completely knockdown (CKD) dump truck and tractor head, the shipment also contained undeclared used SUV.
A warrant of seizure and detention was then issued against the shipment by District Collector Erastus Sandino Austria.
Austria said the importation violates the Executive Order No. 877-A or the Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Development Program, Department of Trade and Industry Administrative Order No. 08 or the Guidelines for the Mandatory Accreditation of Rebuilding Centers, and Section 1400 and 1113 paragraph ‘f’ and ‘i’ of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).
All shipments will undergo seizure and forfeiture proceedings for violation of pertinent provisions of the CMTA, Austria furthered.
