3rd TFFF, a tribute to Direk Maryo

The third edition of TOFARM Film Festival (TFF) from Sept. 12 to 18 will be a tribute to its former festival director, the late Maryo J. Delos Reyes. With social-entrepreneur Dr. Milagros O. How at the forefront, the TFF is the only advocacy-driven film festival in the country. The entries seeking inclusion has to showcase the lives, journeys, trials and triumphs of the Filipino farmers. Dr. Milagros O. How Dr. Milagros O. How “We were deeply saddened with the demise of Direk Maryo. He gave so much of himself for TFF. When he suddenly left us, we found ourselves at a crossroad – should we go on with the project or not? But after a lot of thinking, I personally thought it’s best to carry on what Direk Maryo started. The festival would be a continuation of his vision for the farmers and for our film industry. This is our tribute to him.” The deadline of submission of entries this year is on April 20. Those interested may log on to www.tofarm.org for the mechanics of the competition. TFF 2018 will also include a short film competition. The awards night will be on Sept. 15.
