Lee Min Ho undergoes basic military training


Korean star Lee Min Ho has entered a camp to undergo basic military training as part of his military service.

The 30-year-old actor started his duty as a public service worker or social worker at Suseo Social Welfare Center, run by the Gangnam District Office, in May last year, an alternative form of military service. He was exempted from serving as an active duty soldier due to severe injuries he suffered in a car accidents in 2006 and 2011.

A few days ago, Lee Min Ho entered the Korea Army Training Center in Nonsan, South Korea for four weeks of basic military training based on the pre-service system of the military.

On his Instagram account, Lee Min Ho posted three photos of him with a shaved head and face mask. It was the first time that he posted an update since April last year.

After he completes his military training, he will return to his duty at the social welfare center.

Lee Min Ho got exemption from active-duty service after his car accident in 2006 wherein he was hospitalized for broken thigh and ankle bones. He got into another accident in 2011 while he was shooting the drama “City Hunter."

His military service will last for two years and he will be discharged in May 2019.
