Rolly Quizon passes away

By Karen Valeza Actor Rolly Quizon, son of the late Comedy King Dolphy, passed away Thursday afternoon. He was 59. (photo from Youtube) (photo from Youtube) Rolly reportedly collapsed at a supermarket and was brought to a hospital on March 9 due to stroke. He underwent surgery at the Capitol Medical Hospital the next day but he no longer regained consciousness. Rolly’s passing was just days after his brother Dino Quizon died in the US. On March 6, sisters Zia and Nicole posted tributes for their brother Dino on their respective Instagram accounts. Rolly was in the cast of the sitcom “John en Marsha” topbilled by Dolphy, Nida Blanca, and Maricel Soriano. Nicole remembered her brother Rolly in an Instagram post Thursday, “It’s pretty surreal to lose two brothers in a week but we never know why things happen the way they do. You were truly the Piolo Pascual of your time. Rest in Peace, Kuya Rolly.” Zsa Zsa Padilla also expressed her condolences on Twitter. “R.I.P Rolly Quizon.”
