Ai Ai inks management contract with 'Hayaan Mo Sila' artists

Ai Ai delas Alas has taken on a new challenge as talent manager of Ex Battalion or Ex B, a successful hip hop group known for their song “Hayaan Mo Sila.”

The music video has garnered some 40 million views on YouTube as of press time. Led by Bosx1ne (Mark Maglasang), FlowG (Archie dela Cruz), Skusta Clee (Daryl Ruiz) and Emcee Rhenn (Rhenn Mangabang), Ex B collaborated with Ai Ai on her latest single “Walang Pinipili,” which is dedicated to her husband Gerald Sibayan.
Ex B has a two-year exclusive contract with Ai Ai. At a recent press conference, the actress shared her high hopes for the phenomenal group.
“Gusto ko na mag-level up sila sa mundo ng showbiz, hindi lang sa internet,” she said. “Minsan lang naman mangyari sa buhay ng tao ito eh, kumbaga destiny nila talaga na makapasok sa mainstream at gusto ko, maging maganda ang pagpasok nila.”
The Comedy Concert Queen shared Ex B is preparing for a major concert this year. They will also tour the US, likely September.
“Dadalhin ko sila sa Disneyland!” Ai Ai enthused.
Apart from that, Ai Ai shared the members of Ex B will do acting in the future.

As a manager, Ai Ai advises the group to be professional all the time. She teaches them to always use “po” and “opo” when talking to the other singers.
“Like kapag may nakakasalubong sila na ibang singers, sabi ko sa kanila always say ‘Good evening’ o ‘Good afternoon.’ Dapat maging marespeto sila,” she divulged.
Ai Ai also told Ex B to remain humble and always pray.
“Dapat ‘wag din male-late kapag may mga gigs sila. And siyempre be thankful. Magpasalamat sila sa mga swerteng dumadating sa kanila, minsan lang yan sa buhay ng tao eh. This is a very great blessing from God,” she maintained.
What about matters of the heart?
Ai Ai believes “love can wait,” and that Ex B should prioritize their career first.
“Grab lang ng grab sa mga opportunities. Ang pag-ibig makakapagantay yan pero minsan lang dadating ang swerte ng isang tao. So sabi ko sa kanila, ‘Strike while the iron is hot.’”

Ai Ai said her partnership with Ex-B was unexpected.
One of the writers of the comedy game show, “Bossing & Ai,” told Ai Ai about the group. As curiosity hit her, the actress googled them and found out their music videos have generated millions of views.
The numbers are actually overwhelming: “No Games” has scored 2.7 million views; “Bootyful,” 9.7 million; “Tell Me,” 11.4 million; “Come With Me,” 20.6 million; and “Need You,” 25.4 million.
Ex Battalion Music has almost 600,000 (599,552 to be exact) subscribers on YouTube.
She was amused to discover that their fans come from all walks of life.
“Nu’ng sinearch ko sila, hinanap ko talaga kung sino ‘yung manager nila. Nakita ko naman, natuwa nga ‘yung mga writers namin kasi talagang ‘di ako nagpapigil,” she said, laughing. “So nakipag-meet ako sa kanila, sabi ko gawa tayo ng kanta. After two days, nagkita kita kami tapos natawa pa nga ako kasi parang mga bagong gising lang sila nu’n pero nu’ng nag-rap na, ang galing! Tunog imported!”
Ai Ai and Ex B’s “Walang Pinipili” has already breached the million mark, posting 1,103,698 views as of this writing.
To commemorate their alliance, Ex B even gave Ai Ai a hip hop alias: “Madam” or “Jeje Queen.”
Since then, Ai Ai mentors the group on financial matters.
“Kasi maraming kumukuha sa kanila, madaming mainstream (events) ang pumapasok sa kanila, eh hindi naman nila alam kung magkano ang sisingilin nila, kung papaano ang gagawin nila. Kaya tumatawag sila sa akin at nagpapatulong,” she shared.
Ai Ai considers them as her own children.
“Love ko talaga sila kasi mga babies ko yan. Gumigising talaga ako ng maaga para maasikaso ‘yung mga kailangan nila. Kaya nga minsan naiiyak talaga ako kapag sinasabi nila na ‘Love you, Ma,”’ she said.
Ex B has been striving in the industry for two years now. Formed by Bosx1ne, they had joined several barangay rap battles before being into music in 2016, releasing their first album entitled “X” on digital platforms.
Though there are offers, the group decided not to sign with record labels as “baka po kasi mawala po ‘yung freedom namin as artists.”
If anything, Ex B expressed gratitude to Ai Ai for her unending support.
“Nu’ng nag-decide po siya na i-manage kami, wala po kaming sinabi na terms and conditions, tiwala po kami sa kanya kaya bahala na po siya amin,” Bosx1ne said. (With report from Bhenj Agustin)
