Tandingan confessed that she was not really familiar with ‘Real Gone’ – the theme song of Disney Pixar’s animated film ‘Cars’.

“Naging challenge iyon sa akin kasi hindi ko talaga alam iyong kanta... so medyo na-pressure ako (pero) tinanggap ko iyong challenge,” Tandingan said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

Tandingan revealed that she learned the song and its guitar chords in a span of three days. Nevertheless, she delivered an outstanding performance.

The Filipino singer surprised her audience by changing the first line of the lyrics of the song from "I'm American made. Bud Light. Chevrolet" to "Filipino made. Spotlight. World stage."

In the latter part of the song, Tandingan rapped in Tagalog with lines from Gloc9's song 'Shake It': "Come on everybody sa akin ay sumabay, sama sama sumayaw at itaas ang mga kamay."

When asked about the electric guitar that she used during her stage, Tandingan said it was from the show’s musical director because the decision of having her perform with a guitar was sudden.

The Supreme Fender Stratocaster electric guitar was a limited edition stock created by New York-based streetwear brand Supreme and iconic guitar-maker Fender, and is worth $5,000 (US)

“Sobrang kinikilig pa rin ako na kahit isang beses ko sa buhay ay nakagamit ako nang ganoong gitara,” Tandingan stated.

Before she started her performance, the Chinese crowd chanted her name as they anticipated her performance.

Tandingan ranked fifth in this week’s episode of Singer 2018.
