CDC to help construct P3.4-M multi-purpose gym for MCC

Supnad Clark Freeport, Pampanga — Clark Development Corporation (CDC) will help in the construction of a P3.4-million multi-purpose gymnasium for a community college in Mabalacat City, this province. In the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between CDC President-CEO Noel F. Manankil and Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo, the state-owned firm will allot P1.5 million for the construction of the gym for the Mabalacat City College (MCC). Manankil said the project was three years in the making. He thanked MCC and Local Government Unit of Mabalacat for a strengthened partnership in carrying out programs of CDC. “I have to thank Mabalacat and Mabalacat City College for the partnership, especially in the area of training,” he said. Manankil said that in the next five years, a total of 50,000 employees will be needed in Clark citing that the partnership between CDC, the locators, LGUs and their extension in some educational institutions has to be strengthened. The CDC’s contribution on the project will be used for the phase one of the gym while P1.9-million will be the counterpart fund of the MCC. MCC President Carmelita P. Sotto recognized the effort of CDC in making the project possible.
