16 new prosecutors appointed at DOJ

By Jeffrey Damicog Sixteen prosecutors have been appointed to new positions at the Department of Justice (DOJ).

(MANILA BULLETIN) Among those, the most high-ranking appointment at the DOJ’s National Prosecution Service (NPS) is Editha Canares Fernandez who has been named as Senior Assistant State Prosecutor. Next to her is Agnes Farida Bagafora-Arellano II who got appointed as Assistant State Prosecutor. Their appointment letters from Malacañang dated February 12 were sent through the DOJ’s Office of the Secretary. The rest of the appointees filled up vacancies in city and provincial prosecutors’ offices. Among which, four were appointed in Manila, namely, Senior Assistant City Prosecutors Erma Joyce Foronda Remudaro and Nelson Panapanaan Pagaduan; and Assistant City Prosecutors Manolo Geoffrey Cinco Vergara and Melissa Grace Tanco Perola. There were also three appointed at the Makati City and they are Senior Assistant City Prosecutors Julius Caesar Jorge Gaurano and Carmelita Rana delos Santos; and Assistant City Prosecutor Philomel Domantay Francisco Jr. The other new appointees are Associate Provincial Prosecutor Lorevi Grace Carnazo Setias in Iloilo; Assistant City Prosecutor Kareen Porquez dela Cruz in Iloilo City; Assistant Provincial Prosecutor Tristan Jiff Belmonte Cledera in Quezon; and Senior Assistant Provincial Prosecutor Danilo Trongco Lim in Rizal.
