
Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan inaugurated a two-story health center in Tondo, Manila to address the basic medical concerns of residents in the area.
Lacuna-Pangan was joined by Manila Vice Mayor John Marvin "Yul Servo" Nieto, First District Congressional Candidate Manny Lopez, Councilors Nino dela Cruz and Marjun Isidro and Manila Health Department Chief Dr. Arnold Pangan during the inauguration and unveiling of the marker at the Aurora Quezon Health Center and Health District 1 Office in Tondo 1.
"Nakatalaga po sa unang palapag ang ating TB-DOTS room with sputum collection area, minor surgical room, prenatal room, dental clinic, treatment room at iba pang mga kwarto na makakatulong sa pagbigay ng mas epektibong serbisyo sa mga taga-Tondo (The TB-DOTS (Tuberculosis – Directly Observed Treatment, Short-course) room with sputum collection area, minor surgical room, prenatal room, dental clinic, treatment room, and other rooms that will help provide more effective services to the people of Tondo are located on the first floor)," the mayor said.
"Sa ikalawang palapag naman nakatalaga ang Health District 1 Office at mayroon ditong Sanitation office, district health office, head nurse and head dental supervisor rooms, conference room at iba pa (On the second floor, the Health District 1 Office is located, which includes the Sanitation Office, District Health Office, rooms for the Head Nurse and Head Dental Supervisor, a conference room, and others)," she added.
The local chief executive vowed to work on putting additional medical services equipment into the center such as x-ray and CT scan machines.
"Ito po ay bukas upang mas makatulong sa mga nangangailangan na residente ng Tondo (This is open to better assist the residents of Tondo who are in need)," she said.
