The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) said on Saturday that rapper Loonie, Marlon Peroramas in real life, was released on Friday night after posting P2 million bail for his temporary liberty.

BJMP spokesman Xavier Solda also said Peroramas's co-accused David Rizon was also released on P500,000 bail for violating Sec. 5 of Republic Act No. 9165 (sale, delivery or distribution of illegal drugs) and P3,000 bail for violating Sec. 15 of RA 9165 (illegal drug use).
“I confirm na nakalaya siya pansamantala (that he is temporarily free) on Friday night,” Solda said.
Loonie and his companions were arrested on Sept. 18, 2019, after allegedly selling 15 packs of high-grade marijuana or “kush” worth P100,000 to an undercover authority at the basement of a hotel in Barangay Poblacion, Makati City.
But the rapper’s camp claimed that Loonie was framed as they also accused the policemen of planting the evidence against them. Loonie said he was in the hotel to attend the birthday party of his leukemia-stricken fan.
On Sept. 25, 2019, the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office recommended the filing of non-bailable drug charges against him and his companions.
