4 persons arrested in buy-bust operations in Las Piñas

By Jean Fernando Four persons were arrested in separate buy-bust operations conducted by members of the Las Piñas City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and recovered a total of P371,760 worth of shabu on Monday. Police identified the arrested suspects as George Fidelino, 56, of 27B Lourdes Street, Fatima Subdivision, Barangay Zapote, Las Piñas City; father and daughter, Ronnie Gonzales, 60, and Lyka Gonzales, 20, both residents of Lopez Villa Coastal, Barangay Daniel Fajardo, Las Piñas City, and Philip Acab, 22, of Collis Compound, Manuyo Uno, Las Piñas City. In the first incident, Fidelino, who was placed by the police under street level target, was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the SDEU at about 4 p.m. along Lourdes Street, Fatima Subdivision, Las Piñas City. Confiscated from Fidelino were two pieces of heat-sealed transparent sachet containing about 26.4 grams of shabu amounting to P179,520 and a buy-bust money worth P300. In the second incident, father-and-daughter Gonzales, including Acab, were arrested at about 4:30 p.m. for obstruction of justice. The police said that members of the SDEU conducted buy-bust operation for the arrest of Ronnie Gonzales Jr., 30, an allegedly known drug pusher in the neighborhood. Ronnie was able to elude capture after his father and sister prevented the police officers from arresting the suspect. Police recovered two pieces of heat-sealed transparent sachet containing about 26.8 grams of shabu amounting to P182,240. Police said that the arrested suspects were brought to the Las Piñas police custodial facility and will be charged for illegal possession of drugs. The confiscated items were brought to the SPD Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.
