Student found dead at Tenement building in Taguig

A student was found dead at the parking lot of the Tenement residential building in Barangay Western Bicutan in Taguig on Sept. 18.

The male victim, identified as Melmar, 16, was a Grade 12 student at Western Bicutan National High School (WBNHS) in Barangay Pinagsama.

According to the Taguig Police, the victim’s body was found at about 7:30 p.m. at Tenement’s parking lot.

A witness told the police that while she was doing chores, she heard a sound of something falling and saw the victim lying on the ground.

She immediately sought assistance from the barangay and the Taguig Police. A forensic team from the Southern Police District (SPD) arrived and conducted its investigation.

“Bakit ang unfair ng mundo, ikaw lang man yung bestfriend ko nung elementary tayo bakit ganto pa nang yari sayo pre, hindi panga kita nakikita ulit bakit malalaman ko nalang na wala kana… Rest in peace man,” a friend of the victim posted on Facebook.

Another friend posted, “Pre… bat mo kami iniwan dito tatlo na ngalang tayo eh iniwan mo pa kami dalawa dito pano nayan pre.”

“In this time of immense sorrow, the entire WBNHS community has come together to offer their deepest condolences and unwavering support to (the) family. The loss of such a young and vibrant student is a devastating blow, and his absence will be deeply felt by his classmates, teachers, and friends,” wrote The Pole, a publication of WBNHS.

An autopsy will be conducted to know the cause of death.
