Man gunned down in Batangas

PADRE GARCIA, Batangas â€“ A 43-year-old man was gunned down in Barangay San Miguel, this town, on Sunday afternoon, August 11.

Police identified the victim as Freddie Dizon Obviar of Barangay Arawan, San Antonio, Quezon.

Investigation said Obviar was standing in front of a store when a man on board a black motorcycle arrived from the direction of Barangay Santa Cruz, Rosario, Batangas.

The suspect drew a gun and fired at the victim multiple times.

Obviar died on the spot and the suspect fled towards Barangay Poblacion, this town.

Recovered from the crime scene were 11 fired cartridge cases and a deformed fired 9mm bullet.

Follow-up investigation is underway.
