P1 million worth of shabu seized in Manila buy-bust ops

Over P1 million worth of shabu were seized in separate buy-bust operations in Manila, the Manila Police District (MPD) reported on Sunday, August 11.
According to the police report, a man identified as Mohammad Ali Bolao, 35, was arrested in a buy-bust operation at España Boulevard corner Don Quijote Street, Barangay 456 in Sampaloc on August 9.
Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the MPD Sampaloc Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspect and the seizure of 100 grams of alleged shabu worth P680,000.
In another anti-criminality operation, a 14-year-old child in conflict with the law (CICL) was apprehended after an estimated eight grams of alleged shabu worth P54,000 was seen in his possession.
Another drug suspect identified as alias “Marvin,” 26, was caught with suspected shabu worth P6,800.
MPD Sampaloc commander, Lt. Col. Brillante Billaoac, said he intends to hunt down drug personalities like Bolao who is supplying illegal drugs in the Sampaloc area to target the street-level pushers in the city.
Meanwhile, two suspects identified as Bryan Mercadal, 31, and Joselito Cañete, 60, were arrested at 1:35 a.m. on August 9 at Parola Compound in Tondo after they yielded 30 grams of suspected shabu worth P204,000.
Three suspects identified as Royet Orilliosa, 29; Angelo Jimenez, 18 and; Gabriel Natividad, 41, were arrested at 3 a.m. on the same day, along Angel Linao Sreet corner J. Nakpil Street Barangay 686 in Malate.
Police said they seized P115,600 worth of suspected shabu from the three-drug peddlers.
All the arrested suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
