Sam Verzosa auctions off 10 supercars to fund dialysis center in Manila, sends message to Isko Moreno

Tutok To Win Party-List Representative and host of the public service show "Dear SV," Sam Verzosa, sold his 10 supercars, valued at P200 million, to establish a dialysis center in Sampaloc, Manila.

Sam announced as he auctioned off his vehicles during a charity event dubbed "Driven To Heal: A Fundraising drive to construct dialysis and diagnostic centers for Manila" held in Quezon City on Sept. 29.

The auction featured a stunning lineup of luxury vehicles, including McLaren, Bentley, Maserati, Audi, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and BMW.

Sam, who publicly announced his candidacy for the mayoral race in Manila, expressed his gratitude to the private businessmen who made the purchases of the luxurious cars.

Sam believes that out of all the cars auctioned off, the Bentley sports utility vehicle holds the most sentimental value.

"Noong pumunta kami sa London nagustuhan niya ang Bentley. Sabi niya ibili ko raw siya ng Bentley.

"Isa yan sa mga request niya sa akin. Noong na-order ko na, sadly he passed away.

"Inisip ko talaga kung iki-keep ko ito for sentimental purposes or ibebenta ko. Pero naisip ko mas magiging proud siya kung ibebenta ko ito kasi mas marami siyang matutulungan," Sam said.

One standout in his car collection was the Audi R8, featured in the blockbuster movie "Iron Man." Sam mentioned that Hollywood star Robert Downey Jr. drove an Audi in the same movie.

The charitable event served as a means to give back to the community of Manila. Sam expressed his commitment to constructing additional dialysis centers across the city if he emerges victorious in the mayoral elections. These centers will be established in key areas such as Intramuros, Quiapo, Tondo, Ermita, Malate, and more.

"Dito ako lumaki sa Maynila kaya gusto ko lang ibalik ang mga blessing ko sa mga taga Maynila. Kung walang lalaban para sa kanila, walang mangyayari sa kanila," he said.

On the possible three-way fight in the upcoming 2025 Manila elections, Sam commented: "Mula pagkabata mahirap ang pinagdaanan ko. Nagsimula kami sa wala hangga't sa nag negosyo ako at nagsumikap. Walang imposible sa mundo basta pure ang iyong intentions at maging tulay para maihatid ang ganitong serbisyo sa mga tao."

Sam added: "Hindi ko tinitignan ang mga makakalaban natin kundi ang mga tao at kung ano pa ang maibibigay ko sa kanila, mga serbisyo at kung paano nila makikilala ang puso ko at ano ang gusto kong mangyari. Gusto kong malaman nila yung ginagawa ko. Even before I hosted a television show, matagal na akong tumutulong sa ating kababayan. Kung magagawa ko ito sa ibang lugar, what more sa Maynila?"

Sam added: "Hindi ko tinitignan ang mga makakalaban natin kundi ang mga tao at kung ano pa ang maibibigay ko sa kanila, mga serbisyo at kung paano nila makikilala ang puso ko at ano ang gusto kong mangyari. Gusto kong malaman nila yung ginagawa ko. Even before I hosted a television show, matagal na akong tumutulong sa ating kababayan. Kung magagawa ko ito sa ibang lugar, what more sa Maynila?"

"On his message to potential rival candidates, including Isko Moreno, Sam said: "Galingan na lang nating lahat at ibigay natin ang para sa tao. Maging totoo tayo. Yun lang naman eh. Hindi naman ito pagalingan.

"Maraming magaling mamuno at maraming magaling magsalita. Pero sana tinutupad natin kung ano ang sinasabi natin at kung ano ang ipinapangako natin. Tulad ng ginagawa natin, tinupad natin ang pangako na makakatulong sa mga kababayan natin," the politician-television host said.
