Family first: Sheree Bautista to take a pause from sexy roles

Viva Hot Babes member Sheree Bautista will be shying away from steamy scenes.

This she announced recently.

"Magpapahinga muna ako sa sobrang sexy," said she.

She's looking forward to getting more "serious" roles.

But she emphasized that it's only a temporary break.

Sheree simply wants to honor her 15-year-old son's request.

"Sinabihan ako ng anak ko na medyo magpahinga daw muna ako," she shared, recalling the message of her child with Gian Magdangal: "Ma, whatever it is that you're doing, rest muna."

The sexy star then remembered an incident that took place at Gian Haley's school.

Apparently, a student's older brother from her school came up to her and complimented her acting, saying, "I watch your movie. You're so good at it." He then brought up the titles: "Nerisa," "Sex Games."

Sheree signaled for him to hush and suggested, "Later na lang yang title. Wag mo munang lagyan ng title."

The singer-model emphasized that she's "very grateful" for all the chances Viva provided.

Regarding her sexy scenes: "Kahit naman yung mga pelikula sa Hollywood may mga sexy pa din naman. Siguro I'm just taking a break muna for a bit para lang medyo magpahinga muna..."

Fans will get one more glimpse of Sheree doing revealing scenes before her break via Vivamax's  "Ligaw Na Bulaklak."

Meanwhile, the veteran actress was also asked to make a comparison between the alluring celebrities of the past and present.

Sheree observed that the newer generation of sensual figures are "bolder."

She related that in the past, they were a bit hesitant doing sexy scenes. But the new stars really commit to it without hesitation.

"Hanggang ngayon, sa amin, pag ganu'n yung eksena, medyo na-scare to death pa din ako," she said.

Sheree mentioned that she, along with fellow Viva Hot Babes Maui Taylor and Katya Santos, admire the bravery of the budding actresses.

And she doesn't find it problematic for the starlets to be more daring.

In fact, she views it as a compliment.

"It's not very hard to work with the artist like that - yung mga matatapang talaga," she expressed.

"Medyo may pagka-virgin pa kami ng konti; yung mga panahon namin," she added in jest.
