QC LGU completes ECQ 'ayuda' distribution

The Quezon City government has completed the distribution of the cash aid distribution to around 2.3 million residents.

On August 26, a total of 747,520 affected families have received P1,000 to P4,000 from the national government.

The city has started distributing the unclaimed ayuda to 89,154 families that missed their payout schedules.

"Sa tulong ng mga city departments, barangays, at law enforcers, nai-distribute natin agad ang ayuda para sa mga indigent nating mamamayan (With the help of city departments, barangays, and law enforcers, we were able to immediately distribute aid to our indigent citizens)," Mayor Joy Belmonte said.

Services Development Department (SSDD) has removed ineligible and duplicate names from the list of beneficiaries.

"Kaya naging mabilis at maayos ang distribution natin ngayon kasi malinis na 'yung listahan natin. Inayos natin ito para ma-update 'yung listahan at mabigyan ang mga residenteng nararapat talagang mabigyan ng ayuda (our distribution became fast and efficient now because our list is clean. We made sure to update the list and give to the residents who really deserve help)," SSD head Fe Macale said.

Based on the report of SSDD, 2,782 appeals or complaints were received by the grievance committees at the city’s designated payout sites. The barangays, meanwhile, are still consolidating all the grievances they received for endorsement to the city.

“Kapag may natitira pang pondo pagkatapos nating maibigay ‘yung ayuda para sa mga unclaimed, residents who filed grievances or complaints will now be subject to payouts (If there are still funds left after we have distributed the unclaimed benefits, residents who filed grievances or complaints will now be subject to payout),” Macale said.
