The International ICT Awards-Philippines 2010, an award-giving body that recognizes organizations and individuals who contribute the most to put the Philippines and Filipinos in the minds of global business leaders, is set to announce this year’s set of winners on March 25 at the Grand Ballroom of the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City.

The major award categories include: Business Process Offshore (BPO) Company of the Year, Fastest – Growing BPO Company of the Year, and Most Innovative BPO Company of the Year, while new award categories, created in order to give recognition to rising non-voice BPO companies, include Shared Services Excellence Company of the Year and Non-voice Company of the Year.

Organizers of the award said Filipinos are achieving world beating levels of performance and this gala awards night will be their chance to shine in front of the international community.

“The Philippines has emerged as one of the world’s fastest growing destination for BPO as it’s engaged in offshore outsourcing for global companies. This success has made the country, a dominant player in the booming ICT industry within the Asia Pacific region,” organizers said.

Recently, the Philippines received the Best Offshoring Destination of the Year Award for 2009 for its BPO sector bestowed by the United Kingdom’s National Outsourcing Association.

In its 4th year, the largest event of its kind in Southeast Asia, and one of the most closely watched in the world for the BPO sector, the International ICT Awards 2010 will highlight the tremendous success of some of the world's premier companies engaged in BPO in the country.

The event is organized by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines in partnership with the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPA/P), the largest BPO industry associations and the country’s representative to the global business community.
