Flawless presents new endorsers, reveals next campaign

A modern day Maria Clara and a bad boy who spent time on an army base in Okinawa, Japan have been chosen to become the faces of popular skincare and beauty clinic chain, Flawless.
Julieanne Susie Arcenio (Purely Flawless) and Robert de Claro (Flawlessly Dangerous) could hardly believe their good luck when they were announced as winners of the four-month Picture Flawless search. The two bested 21 aspirants on February 8, 2010 and are now marked to join the ranks of Flawless celebrity endorsers Lorna Tolentino, Richard Gutierrez, Yasmien Kurdi, Mark Herras, Alyssa Alano and Butch Francisco.
“I’ll go on a shopping spree!” exclaimed Robert when asked what he plans to do with his P800,000 prize money. “Seriously, I’ll probably invest the money on a restaurant-bar business for my mom.”
Julieanne, on the other hand, has loftier plans. “I’ll donate part of this to my parish then use the rest to help finance the education of my sisters.”
The press release describes Julie as “petite, with big eyes framed by long and thick eyelashes. She is usually reserved and quiet but talks sense when she does speak her mind.” Robert, meanwhile, is “the tall, dark and handsome [guy] whose smoldering exterior belies the soft-hearted guy that he is.”
Some of their rivals in the search say that Julie dresses up like a fashion plate but never looks tawdry. As for Rob, he goes out of his way to give people he knows a hug, a kind word or a playful punch in the shoulder.
Flawless CEO Rubby Sy disclosed that 80% of the basis for the win came from votes, which came from both texts and visits to the clinic. The remaining 20% came from a panel of judges.
Rubby said the winners’ good looks were only part of the reason they nabbed the prize. She said that more importantly, the winners must know how to “act as role models and ambassadors of the people.”
“They have to encompass Flawless’ core values of humility, integrity and passion,” she quipped, adding that the aim of Flawless’ next campaign, dubbed “Flawless Philippines,” is to beautify the country, beginning with self-improvement such as quitting smoking and eating healthy, to such community-focused activities as repainting bridges and cleaning up the streets.
Winners of special awards that night were Apple Seva (Flawless Photogenic), Keina Fawaz (Flawless Witty), John Rudolph Villamor (Flawless Personality), Serafin Letim (Flawless Sweetheart), Bod Trina (Flawless Beautiful) and Jennifer Ragasa (Forever Flawless).
Flawless, which began eight years ago, was the recent recipient of the Outstanding Retailer of the Year (2009) Award from the Philippine Retailers Association. The company abides by the philosophy that beauty is not just a luxury, but a privilege, hence, its patient-centric approach.
The clinic chain has branches nationwide, with locations in Metro Manila, Metro Davao, and Metro Cebu. Apart from basic facials, bleaching, and waxing, Flawless’ medical treatments include pimple injection, electrocautery, mesotherapy, sclerotherapy, whitening and anti-aging injectibles, skin peeling, and many others that are done under the supervision of dedicated doctors at all times.
