Celeb couples at a concert; a blessing and a tragedy
Celebrity ‘couples’ spotted at Kris Allen’s concert
Kapuso stars Rhian Ramos and Victor Aliwalas were spotted getting “sweet” with each other during the concert of “American Idol” Season 8 winner Kris Allen which was held in McKinley Hill, Taguig City, last Feb. 6.
But the young actress said there’s nothing to be intrigued about.
“Actually ako ‘yong gutom, pero bilang mabait akong tao, I share my food with everybody. ‘Wag niyo naman akong intrigahin. Marami akong sinubuan ng chicken!” she said.
Also spotted was Isabel Oli, together with a rumored suitor, whom she simply referred to as a “good friend.”
Pauleen Luna was also seen with Anjo Yllana’s brother, Ryan.
“Kasi tinatawagan ko si Jom [Jomari Yllana]. Napakabait ni Jom hindi ako sinasagot. So ang next kong tinawagan si Ryan. Sabi niya may ticket siya, eh ‘di go. Ganun lang. Wala namang malisya,” she clarified.
Alfie Lorenzo’s hospitalization a blessing in disguise?
Talent manager and veteran columnist Alife Lorenzo finds his recent hospitalization a sort of a blessing in disguise because he was able to reconnect with his relatives and friends.
“Nagpapasalamat naman ako sa OA [over-acting] na reaction. Napanood ‘yan sa lahat ng istasyon. Nagkaroon ako ng connect sa mga relatives ko at long-lost friends,” he told “Showbiz Central” in a phone interview.
The 71-year-old also kidded about the politicians who have extended their “love” for him.
“Nalaman ko kung sino ‘yung talagang nagmamahal sa’kin at kung sino ‘yung mga politikong iboboto ko. Maaalala ko sila pagdating ng eleksyon,” he said.
He said he is very much thankful to his ward, Judy Ann Santos, for all her help.
“Napatunayan ko na kulang na isilang ko siya,” he quipped.
“Tito Alfie” is still in a suite in St. Lukes Medical Center, which he said was provided by Juday.
Lyka Ugarte fails at fifth suicide attempt
She’s tired of her life but life doesn’t seem to feel the same.
Former beauty queen and actress Lyka Ugarte attempted once again to take her life.
“I just broke a glass and I just closed my eyes and I just did one strong slash on the left and one strong slash on the right,” she recalled on “Showbiz Central.”
She regrets that help immediately came for her, saying, “Sayang, wala na sana ako.”
Just like in one of her previous suicide attempts, love played a role: her three-year relationship with her partner just ended.
“Itong taong ‘to has been my partner since Oct. 15 of 2007. Alam niya na mahal na mahal ko siya, pati ng mga anak ko. Pero ganun lang kadali sa kanya na sabihing ‘Gusto kong maging single eh. Trip ko lang,’” she recounted.
Lyka also lamented over the sexual harassment she experienced from one of her partner’s colleagues.
“Ang pinakamasakit sa’kin, kasama ko siya nung sexual harassment. Kasamahan niya sa trabaho ‘yon. Ni hindi man lang niya ko naipagtanggol. Sana masaya siya,” she said, tears flooding her face.
The single mother said she doesn’t care about people’s labeling, because “this is my life and I’m tired of it.”
