Five families were affected in two fire incidents in the cities of Taguig and Muntinlupa on Feb. 18 and 19.
At about 9:44 a.m. on Feb. 18, a fire hit a house on Katihan Street near the Muntinlupa Elementary School in Barangay Poblacion.
According to the Muntinlupa City Fire Station, the fire damaged a one-story house. The fire alarm was raised at 9:50 a.m.

The fire damaged about P10,500 worth of property. No one was injured in the blaze, which affected one family.
The origin and cause of the fire are under investigation. The administration of the Muntinlupa Elementary School allowed pupils who were fetched by their parents to go home.
A total of 10 fire trucks and two ambulances responded to the incident. The fire was put out at 9:55 a.m.
Taguig
In Taguig, a fire damaged a house with four families in Rodriguez Compound, Barangay Sta. Ana on Feb. 18.
The Taguig City Fire Station report stated that the blaze started at about 2:05 p.m. and was put out at 2:20 p.m. The fire affected four families or 17 individuals.
The fire started from a stockpile of wood on the roof, the fire station said. A total of six fire trucks and one ambulance responded to the incident.

Meanwhile, the Taguig City government provided financial assistance, sleeping and hygiene kits, and food packs to the affected families.
The families also received family kits containing t-shirts, pants and slippers from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) .
The families are staying with their relatives.
