MB Daily News Update: Metro Manila Covid-19 cases still on the rise

The Department of Health (DOH) reported that the number of Covid-19 cases in Metro Manila remains on an upward trend with an average of 750 cases daily.

Social Welfare and Development Secretary Erwin Tulfo explains why the roster of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) has to be purged on unqualified beneficiaries – many of whom have children who have already finished their studies.

A joint team from the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) pulled off a huge bust at a warehouse in Valenzuela City, seizing an estimated P1.5 billion in smuggled goods and luxury items coming from China.

Meanwhile, the Commission on Audit (COA) has flagged about P8.66 billion worth of unfinished or suspended projects of the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
