Ruffa Gutierrez shares 'baul' photos, grateful for life lessons

Actress-beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez took to Instagram to share some of her memorable photos from way back.

Ruffa uploaded photos when she was crowned Bb. Pilipinas-World in 1993. Later that year, she was named 2nd Princess at the Miss World 1993 beauty pageant held in Sun City, South Africa.

She also posted a picture after she became a Muslim in Istanbul, Turkey when she got married to businessman Yilmaz Bektas. Ruffa and Yilmaz have been separated, and they have two children.

Ruffa, 47, said she's grateful for people who came into her life, either build her up or destroy her.

Her full post read: "In life, you will meet two kinds of people. Ones who build you up, and ones who tear you down. But in the end, you will thank them both.

"Taken when I was 18 after being crowned Bb. Pilipinas-World in 1993 and in 2004 when I was a Muslim living in Istanbul named Yasmeen. Time flies. #RuffasWorld#BaulPics," wrote Ruffa on Instagram.

In another post, Ruffa shared more "baul" snaps with Donita Rose, Karla, Estrada, Harlene Bautista, Isko Moreno, Sunshine Cruz, Getchen Barretto, and Chin-Chin Gutierrez.

"Where did the time go?? Pics from March 1989 with Harlene, June 1994 with Shine, Dee & Karla and March 2003 with friends in pink.

"First batch of baul pics found when I cleared out my closet today. Such unforgettable memories! Cheers to friendship and a beautiful life. More to come! Sunshine, Donita, Karla, Isko, Harlene, Gretchen, Pops, ChinChin," Ruffa's other caption read.
