Palace vows to announce future IATF resolutions earlier
Malacañang promised to make early announcements of future resolutions of the Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases following the recent leaks about the reimposition of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in the Greater Manila Area.
Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque made the statement after leaks about the ECQ and a summary of an IATF meeting went in social media hours before the official announcement, causing people to flock to supermarkets and buy supplies for the week-long strict lockdown.

Many local chief executives also made early announcements on Saturday, preempting Roque's press briefing that took place hours later.
In his Monday presser, Roque acknowledged that leakage has been a problem of the IATF.
"Problema po talaga yung pagli-leak sa IATF pero hindi ko na alam kung ano'ng gagawin ko diyan (Leakage is really a problem of the IATF and I don't know what to do about that anymore)," he said.
However, the Palace official promised to make early announcements for future IATF resolutions.
" I can assure you, as soon I have the document, a-announce ko na po (I will announce it immediately)-- No thrills, no frills from now on," he said.
Roque explained that the recent IATF resolution was made in the evening because they had to wait for the President's approval and the official document of the resolution.
Meanwhile, he asked the media to refrain from reporting the leaks and wait for the official announcement.
"Kaunting ingat din po ang mass media kasi hanggang hindi pa nakukumpirma, hindi pa po pinal yung mga nali-leak at hanggang sa huli po eh talagang nagkaroon ng mga pagbabago (The media should be more careful because unless it is confirmed, any leak is not final and may still have last-minute changes)," Roque said.
"Nothing is final until it is announced officially," he added.
