32 wanted persons nabbed in Cordillera

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police arrested 32 wanted persons in a week-long manhunt operation in the Cordillera from Feb. 26 to March 4. The Police Regional Office-Cordillera Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) said 14 were apprehended by the Benguet Police Provincial Office, followed by the Baguio City Police Office  with five; Mountain Province PPO with four; Ifugao PPO and Apayao PPO, three each; Kalinga PPO, two; and Abra PPO one. As a result of the intensified police visibility and campaign against crime, 61 municipalities in the region and three police stations in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents during the period. Twenty-four municipalities were in Abra; five in Apayao; seven in Benguet; six in Kalinga; nine in Mountain Province; and 10 in Ifugao. Station 6 (Aurora Hill), Station 8 (Kennon Road), and Station 9 (Irisan) recorded zero crime incidents out of the 10 police stations in Baguio City.
