Demi Lovato on her sexual identity: 'I'm so fluid now'

Demi Lovato has come a long way since her days on "Barney & Friends."

After surviving numerous controversies, the 28-year-old is once again causing a commotion coming out as pansexual.

She did so in an interview on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast.

“I’m so fluid now,” Demi said.

When Joe asked Demi to clarify her statement, she confirmed that she is pansexual.

She would go on to reveal how she knew she was gay even as a young girl, recalling watching the kissing scene involving two actresses in the film “Cruel Intentions” and liking it.

“But (I) felt a lot of shame because growing up in Texas as a Christian, that is very frowned upon,” Demi said.

“Any attraction that I ever had to a female at a young age, I shut it down before I even let myself process what I was feeling.”

Seemingly anticipating backlash, she added, “I’m pushing 30. I’m no longer a 15 year old on Disney Channel. Please let me live my life.”

Demi's documentary series “Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil,” stirred talk after she revealed there that she had been raped as a teen.
