More establishments in Antipolo closed due to COVID protocol violation

Three establishments in Antipolo City have been ordered closed for violating the city's COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

In a Facebook post, Antipolo City Mayor Andrea Bautista Ynares announced the temporary closure of MLQ Market, Crisel Beauty Parlor, and Joepas Ventures which are all located in Barangay San Roque.

Some netizens said social distancing and other health protocols such as wearing face masks are not being observed in the three establishments.

Earlier, the city government ordered the closure of iMall, a community shopping center located in the city proper, for the same violation.

City government spokesperson Casimiro ‘Junjun’ Ynares, III has earlier reminded establishment owners and residents to follow existing protocols set by health authorities, as the virus continues to exist and pose danger to lives despite the promise of the coming of the vaccines.

As of February 11, Antipolo City has recorded 4,381 COVID-19 cases, 106 of which are active. Out of the total number of cases, 4,153 have already recovered.
