'Show love, gratitude to your parents while they are still with you', Guanzon reminds netizens

Last Valentine's Day, Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner Rowena Guanzon expressed her love for her parents who passed away in 2018.

In a tweet, Guanzon remembered her "date" from three years ago.

"He said to our mother before we buried her, 'Nenuca, when we meet again, I will marry you again' what a love story," the commissioner wrote.

Guanzon then reminded netizens to always show their affection and gratitude to their parents. 

"Show your love and gratitude to your parents while they are still with you. Mine passed last year, both at 95, within a period of 80 days. My word stopped," she added.
